total elevation gain: 1,100
Difficulty: moderate
Season: year round

This hike is located about one hour north of San Fransisco, there is a dirt parking lot and some non plumbing bathroom facilities.  This hike provide constant sealine views, and the wildcat cat is densely populated with wild flowers.  Although the area is relatively populated there are few encounters on the trail, but a majority are at the campsite itself.  this hike is a good example of the decline of the US trail System through lack of public interest.  Many of the trails that breach off have a sign of "unkempt trail continue at own risk", one of these trail leads to Alamere Falls which was the highlight of my trip, but it was over grown trail that requires you to crouch and go down a steep hill, but it leads you straight to the falls, and the only way to the beach is a shady looking thin rope down a questionable slope, but the payoff is worth it, and give a sense of adventure.
