Feather falls is the sixth largest waterfall in the US of a 640ft drop, about 95 miles north of Sacramento. I took these picture around March 2012, the total elevation gain of around 1,100ft is only noticed one the return hike on the lower trail. There is a bathroom and parking lot right at the trail head, this is a very well kept trail and clearly marked, on the return hike on the lower trail the bridge is out, but you can easily cross over the remains there is a warning not to but it has been there for quite some time and instead of repairing the bridge, it has some 2x4's on the ruins to cross.
