Under Gov. Jerry Brown of CA and the new budget over 70 state parks are in danger. I am sure most Californians have heard this already. On top of this people forget that rangers and park services are being cut elsewhere and trail systems will disappear entirely. It shows how protected areas are not well protected. All we have to do is show an interest in our surrounding, and see that movie like setting, and picturesque scenes are just in our backyard. I am not suggesting go hiking at every moment, but one of the few easily accessible adventures in our lives wont be here forever. Once there gone they're not coming back.

My goal for this blog is to successfully map and Document Trails starting with northern California, and eventually all of California. My ultimate Goal is to manage a living doing this and travel across the country documenting Trails. I currently just use my camera phone, my next step is a good camera that can take crisper pictures and quicker to catch animals my eventual goal is obtain a backpack mounted camera resembling a panoramic street view camera, so people can view hikes and plot courses from home and realize that there are incredible outdoor opportunities just a short drive away. The only real way to preserve the outdoors is to make the popular. I have only recently obtained a GPS so a majority of the hikes are simply photos. There are sites similar to this but they are simply 3 photos over a 15 mile hike that are crammed with family photos. I will give a brief overview and give statistics about the hikes but hikes vary greatly by season with flora, fauna, weather, and each persons general outlook. I will try to identify the plat life to the best of my abilities, and create a list of the wildlife i view but are incapable of photographing.
